Within the Student Academic Support Services unit, provides individual and group career counseling/coaching to a diverse population of students at all levels of academic progress. Organizes career panels and conducts workshops on career exploration and application processes related to internship/entry level job search and graduate/professional school. Areas of emphasis and leadership include one or more of the following: assessment, outreach, marketing, programming, Tuck Liaison Program, and technology, including social media. Interprets personality and interest inventory results in context of individual student's plans and goals.
Understanding and appreciation of liberal arts and knowledge of contemporary, traditional college student issues. Strong commitment to working with a diverse student population. Solid foundation in career and student development and student learning theory. Two plus years of professional experience in career development and/or job search counseling, or the equivalent. Exposure/experience working with undergraduate students. Experience with database management and/or SQL preferred. Master's degree in Counseling or Education or the equivalent.
